Special Celebration for Kaymer from Family Member
Special Celebration for Kaymer from Family Member
Now, every golf fan knows Martin Kaymer is ranked the No.1 in the golf world. Yes, Kaymer is a German professional golfer. The 26-year-old German became the No. 1 ranked golfer in the Official World Golf Rankings on 27 February 2011 after his runner-up finish in the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship.
When Kaymer who likes the TaylorMade R9 SuperTri Driver got the Number One of Office World Golf Ranking, Martin Kaymer celebrated his rise to world No. 1 without ever leaving America. Kaymer has a home in Scottsdale, Ariz., which is where he spent last week after his runner-up finish in the Match Play Championship that allowed him to replace Lee Westwood atop the ranking.
His brother and a friend flew in from Germany, only to tell him the next day they were leaving for the airport. Kaymer couldn't figure out why they were going home so soon, but he found out when they got to the airport. They were there to pick up Kaymer's father, Horst, who joined the celebration.
"He says, 'Next time in Germany, who knows if you're still No. 1, so I just wanted to take the opportunity to say congratulations,'" Kaymer said. Kaymer could have lost the No. 1 ranking had Westwood finished third at the Honda Classic, and the battle for No. 1 figures to continue all the way through to the Masters. Westwood again will have a chance to get back the top spot at Doral.
"I really don't care," Kaymer said. "I've been No. 1 in the world at least for seven days. No one can take it away from me." If you want to know much more golf news about Kaymer, you may read my article - Tiger Woods Promoted His New Video Game in my blog.
The PGA Tour still has the strongest fields, according to how many ranking points are allocated. Through two months, only twice has a European Tour event offered more points - Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
For him the significance of reaching world No 1 resides in the process rather than the thing itself. He must be doing something right, is the theory. "I've been No 1 in the world for at least seven days. No-one can take that away from me. It's a nice thing but it doesn't change my life.
"A lot of people say you must be the happiest person in the world now and I say 'yeah, I'm happy, I'm satisfied but there's still something missing. Maybe I will find out in the next 12 months." Or maybe, on the grounds that one never misses something until it is gone, in the next five days. Should Lee Westwood win the Cadillac Championship at Doral on Sunday, he goes back to the top.
Do you think that Kaymer will keep the No.1 of golfing world, please continue to pay attention to my golf article! I would like to recommend the good Callaway FT-iZ Driver to you, thanks for reading my article!
