Siloso Beach on Singapore's famed Sentosa Island is the ultimate hangout for beach bums from all over the world. Siloso Beach lies on the west portion of the southern coast and it is known as the place for beach volleyball and other outdoor activities such as canoing, skim boarding, mountain biking or roller blading. The beach is also pet friendly; dogs are allowed to swim in the waters.There are also dining and shopping outlets along the beach. The Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa Resort is located at the western end of Siloso Beach.
The beach is marketed by Sentosa Island as Singapore's hippest beach and it certainly lives up to its marketing tag line. There are usually a number of fun filled events, concerts and parties organized on Siloso Beach all year round, with a special year end mega party on December 31st that features high powered pyrotechnics at twelve midnight.

* Singapore botanical gardens: beautiful big park with wonderful gardens
* Bukit Timah nature reserve: for those that want to be in the jungle and have a more challenging walk
* McRitchie nature reserve: lots of lovely and peaceful walks here. From here you can also do the Tree Top Walk which gives you a different perspective on the Singapore's trees.
* The Singapore zoo is a beautiful nature walk all by itself. The zoo grounds are wonderfully lush and of course it's fun to encounter some amazing animals along the way.
