Simple Ideas For Golf Tournament Gifts

Simple Ideas For Golf Tournament Gifts

One of the fun parts of playing in a golf tournament is the goody bag! Of course

golfers love the atmosphere of a tourney and if it is for charity, most are glad to be a part of the fund raising. But golfers also love going through the golf tournament gifts bags to see what treasures are inside.

The goody bag is a big part of the event and one that most golfers will remember after the event is over. They will talk about the bags with other golfers and may even use it as a gauge as to whether the event was handled properly. If you are going to host or manage a golfing event, you will want to take care when deciding what goes into the bags.

First of all, you want to select a good quality bag. What you put the goodies into is important and is a great place to put your logo. If you go with plastic, choose high quality, think, sturdy plastic. An even better idea is a cloth bag. With everyone wanting to "go green", these bags may be reused many times. This could be a great way to get your name seen by multiple people.

You can also out your name on some of the things inside. Do not go crazy and put your name on everything. Just a few pieces with your logo will do the trick. Hats, ball markers and ball marking pens are perfect for this. Again, though, be sure to go with top quality stuff or these things will just find themselves in the trash.

Other good things to get your name on are golf balls and tees, mouse pads, hand towels and mini coolers. There are some really adorable coolers that are made to hold a single drink can. Then there are little pockets and pouches where golfers can store coins, markers, tees or any other small items.

If you can, get other sponsors to kick in. They do not even need to hand over any cash. Inquire about donations some local businesses can make for your event. Restaurants are often happy to give discount coupons or certificates for free food. Other types of businesses can also donate certificates for discounts or free trial offers.

Be creative when asking about donations. Golfers love free drink and food. Small bottles of water or sports drinks and single serving sized snacks are great additions to the bag that your participants will like to see. The more stuff in the gift bags that people like, the more positive word of mouth advertising you will get when it comes time for your next event.
