Part of the fun in traveling somewhere new is going shopping there

Branson is no exception, there are many different places to go and some you may miss because you didn"t know they were even there.Branson Landing is a small community of shops and restaurants on the lake, filled with the up and coming shops such as Victoria"s Secret, The Children"s Place, Hollister, and CJ Banks. Sports shops like the Bass Pro Shop, Famous Footwear and Sports Zone are around to entertain the guys. And then eateries like Joe"s Crab Shack, Old Chicago, and even Subway fill your belly before hitting a show later on.
Silver Dollar City is more of a theme park in the area, and has some souvenir type shopping there, but more than that, it has handcrafted and one of a kind items that you could take home as focal points and conversation pieces. Everything from leather working to candles, candies to jewelry, and specific western decor (even unique things like trains) to quilts. You may need an extra day to be able to take your time getting through them all!
The Grand Village is a more upscale shopping area with boutique type stores such as The Grand Glitz, The Buffalo Nickel, Mulberry Mill, Branson Candle Co., Lori"s Soap Market, Serendipity: Jewelry Arts and Whimsy, Helwig Art Glass, Thomas Kindkade Gallery, and Mark Karpinski Photography...just to name a few. The very vintage, almost victorian style shops are very inviting and just beg for you to come calling and the cobbled walkways add to the atmosphere. Come spend the day here and grab a bite to eat at one of the local restaurants for lunch. Enjoy the feel, the ambiance that The Grand Village brings to you.
The Amish lead a very pure and unpolluted way of life. We are lucky that they have opted to share some of their goodness with us and open a store to promote their foods and eating off the land, if you will. They have everything from the herbs you need to cook with to the cookbooks themselves! They are wonderful craftsmen and produce beautiful furnishings. Take the time to explore a whole new culture and take something new home to try. It will forever immortalize the time you stayed in Branson and every time you eat that jelly you learn to make, your family will think about that same trip. It is something that will be imbedded in your minds and open your eyes.
