That being said, SafeSynch is offered by a company whose primary business is not actually online storage, which may be part of the reason that the features, though they are reliable and well thought out, fail to stand out from much of the competition.
SafeSynch has a desktop interface that you use to upload files and offers you an easy way to synchronize the information on your system that you want backed up. It does have some good features, including high-end encryption and other security features that will make it interesting to people who have significant concerns about unauthorized access to their files.

The most advantageous parts of the system provided by SafeSynch are those related to security. It has excellent encryption and is you won't have to worry about the files you upload being compromised. The service is also provided with a good interface that shouldn't prove problematic for anyone who's using it. It's gotten generally positive feedback from users.
Cons
SafeSynch comes from a company that does more than provide online storage and backup services, so it's not a specialist operation that produced it. This shows in some of the features and in some of the offerings from the company. This could be a competitive system with a lot of the other options out there, but it does not have the types of features that the competition offers in terms of convenience. You may be able to do better using other programs, in some regards.
Analysis
This is a good system, but SafeSynch could be a bit better. The interface is well designed but it does not stand out in terms of features or ease of use. There are other systems out there that do a better job of providing the types of feature rich services that users will likely expect and it may be a better option to go with them, particularly for home users.

If you're interested in an online backup system, you might be able to find something that offers you a bit more than does SafeSynch. There's nothing particularly bad about SafeSynch. It has good security, a good interface and comes from an established company that certainly has a lot of expertise in security. That being said, however, you may find that you get more for your money from some of the companies out there that specialize in making sure that their customers have an easy time using their services and that work hard to improve them all the time, and those are mostly companies who focus on online backup exclusively.
