In this day and age it seems that the major brands are doing more and more to try
and prevent independent travelers getting the best deals - by banding together to offer 'exclusive' deals to customers. Ryanair and Hertz are the latest coupling in the very competitive travel industry.So what does it mean for the person booking the 'deal'? According to the website AirlineQuality.com Ryanair is a two star airline - that is, they're only rated two stars in the budget airline category. The rating is made up of many different criteria and an airline can score up to five stars but Ryanair never score more than three in any category.

So what we have is a budget airline teaming up with one of the biggest names in car rental. What we want to know is how this will affect you the traveling public? All of these categories relating to customer relations and the experience the customer had only scored one star and these are the people who will, in the main, be handling your booking through Hertz - one presumes. This will allow them to build their perfect holiday, business trip or city break. Now one has to give Ryanair it's due.
It consistently offers low fares and most complaints appear to be around the issue of hidden costs (and indeed this is another area where they scored very low) and the difficulty of actually finding out what those hidden costs were. As long as you are aware of this and abide by their 'rules' you get exactly what you pay for, a low cost, no frills service. So the question is. Given their sad track record in customer relations as evidenced by the ranking on airlinequality.com and the many reviews that abound on the net, have Hertz made the right choice in their budget airline partnership?
