Rome as the capital of Italy and the country's largest and most populated municipality
is one of the capital city of Roman Kingdom, Roman Republic and the Roman Empire. A place where political and cultural influence has a bigger contribution in the world, just thinking about it makes it even more exciting. A place to reckon if you are thinking about Europe travel and destination.One of the best things in Rome is the great landscapes and gardens found in the capital. There is the Villa Medici, which is spectacular and a great view to look out for. It is said that the during the first century B.C. that Pincio Hill is covered by Gardens of Lucullus. And the fabled gardens are all created by the retired Roman general around the Villa Medici.
If you are visiting Rome, it is great to see and check out some villas and gardens in the city. You may find great and enthralling feeling about staying around the area and walking and sightseeing for the view which has marked in history for centuries.
Another place to check out is the Villa Orsini grounds hold a sculpture park named Bomarzo's Sacro Bosco. There is a web of looping trails that leads through the open glades, past the rocky outcrops,and down the steep ravines which is inhabited by giant statues and gods, as well as the mythical beasts, and other cultural marvels of Rome. The elephant's tower, a turtle bearing a statue of goddess, and a leaning stone fun house is also the kind of symbol that reflects an entrance to the underworld, just like the olden times beliefs.

It is recorded that in 1552, Prince Vicino Orsini started work on a Villa of Wonders for his beloved wife, but died tragically young, causing the project to halt, but later completed as a monument for her memory.
Next is the Villa Lante which is built for Cardinal Gambara in 1560's on a hillside above the medieval town of Bagnaia and is considered as the finest Renaissance garden in Italy. In Italy, Villa refers to both to the house and its garden or pleasure grounds.
Then there is the Villa Farnese, which is a formidable pentagonal fortress that sits just above the town looking out towards Rome. The sunlit grounds behind the palace and wander uphill through mature woods of ilex, chestnut, and pine to the Casino del Piacere (House of Pleasure), is also a treat to see as you take a trip down this lane.
If you take a further walk up to the hilltop going to Caetani Village or Sermoneta, you will see that is a great castle which is once the seat of Borgias and dominates the countryside. The Ninfa, which has a romantic appeal for an island view brings about a feel of ancient times and memories. There are great view of wildflower meadows and flowering shrubs, as well as rare magnolias, pomegranate groves and a cluster of giant timber bamboos. From the hilltop of Caetani Village there is a sight of Nnfa that you see as like an oasis in the middle of a dessert. So if you are on the look for a possible place to stay for your travel plans and destination, try Rome. Make it a place to look forward to.
