. This racing track was earlier known as Wanneroo Park but it came to be known as Barbagallo Raceway when the great motor sport personality Alf Barbagallo funded the tracks extension in 1992. The contract with V8 Super cars came to an end in 2008 and there is concern among the sport lovers whether the circuit will see anything of the sort in future. There have been complaints about the tracks are not suitable for racing and the WA government has been pondering about relaying the tracks once again as the sport loving public is disappointed to lose out on the championship.
