Guns N' Roses, Arcade Fire and Blink 182 will play at the three day festival in August
Reading festival Tickets line up announced 2010
THE acts that will play at this year's Reading Festival have been announced.
From across the Atlantic, the three headliner acts are Guns N' Roses on the Friday, Arcade Fire on the Saturday and Blink 182 on the Sunday.
Other names on the bill include special guests, The Libertines, who have reunited for two shows only the Reading and Leeds Festivals, who will perform on the main stage along with Paramore and Queens of the Stone Age.
This year's NME/Radio 1 stage headliners will be LCS Soundsystem, Pendulum and Klaxons.
This will be the first time Guns N' Roses have played Reading and they will be promoting their latest album, Chinese Democracy, which went to number one in 13 countries.
This will be their only UK appearance this year.
Since the release of Arcade Fire's debut album Funeral and its follow up Neon Bible, the band have received critical acclaim, with both releases featuring in Best of Decade polls across the world at the end of last year.
Their last appearance at Reading was in 2007.
Since they announced their reformation and US dates last year, UK fans have waited to find out when Blink 182 members, Tom DeLonge, Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker, will return here to play again.
This will be their only UK festival appearance and only English show of this year.
The product of the eagerly-awaited reconciliation of Carl Barat and Pete Doherty will be seen on the main stage on Saturday.
The Libertines will return as the original four-piece with duel vocalists and guitarists Carl Barat
and Pete Doherty, drummer Gary Powell and bassist John Hassall.
Joining these bands will be other big names such as Gogol Bordello, Biffy Clyro, Lost Prophets, Dizzee Rascal, Limp Bizkit, Weezer and We are Scientists.
Many more names are still to be announced, as well as the full line-up for the Lock-Up Stage, Dance Stage, Festival Republic Stage, BBC Introducing Stage and the Alternative Stage.
The festival takes place at Little John's Farm, Richfield Avenue, Reading on August 27, 28 and 29.
CAMDEN CRAWL, various venues, Camden, 1-2 May: Rolo Tomassi, Is Tropical, Lets Go To War and Man Like Me have been announced to play the new outdoor live arena at this year's Camden Crawl. Also playing the Red Bull Bedroom Jam Arena are Kasms, We Are The Ocean, Chew Lips, Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip, Flood Of Red and Skepta
LIMETREE FESTIVAL, Limetree Farm, Grewlthorpe, North Yorkshire, 27-29 Aug. The Blockheads, James Taylor Quartet, Rocky Dawuni, Smoove & Turrell, Utah Saints and afrobeat space-jazz sensations the Ariya Astrobeat Arkestra have all be confirmed for this year's Limetree Festival. Craig Charles will also broadcast live from the event for 6music.
READING AND LEEDS FESTIVAL, Little Johns Farm, Richfield Avenue, Reading and Branham Park, Leeds, 27-29 Aug: Serj Tankian, A Day To Remember, Wild Beasts and Thrice are amongst the latest acts to play at this year's Reading and Leeds. Other acts added to the bill include The Futureheads, The Walkmen, Mystery Jets, Young Guns, New Young Pony Club and Motion City Soundtrack.
