We are a different business that operates in a different way because we are DEVOTED
to helping people fight breast cancer or to catch it early though self breast exams. Since we are a different breast cancer clothing company, we are trying to find different ways to raise money for breast cancer with our breast cancer shirts, breast cancer apparel, and informative breast cancer website. One of our plans is to proactively reach out to celebrities that have an interest in helping raise money for breast cancer charities and do so as frequently as we can with our website ProjectBoobies.com being the site for the auction. Once connected, we will send the celebrity shirts to sign and then auction them off on our website. Our definition of celebrity is very loose the goal is to raise money for cancer through auctions for the autographed breast cancer shirts so that could be a local celebrity or a national one. In terms of the charity donation, we are hoping to donate half of the proceeds (100% of auction proceeds go to charity) to our destination charity Kokolulu Farms in Hawaii with the other half going to the celebritys charity of choice we would love it if they also picked Kokolulu but that doesnt matter. There isn't a strong enough word or phrase to describe the destruction breast cancer causes. Everyone loves "boobies" and breast cancer's mission is to destroy them or worse - cause death. We have a simple mission - make sure the topic of self breast exams is alive every day of the week, every week of the month, every month of the year. Breast cancer doesnt just happen in October which is national breast cancer awareness month. Know your body and notice changes because an early detection is a great way to take control of your own health. Reminding the women you love to do a regular self breast exam is a great way to be helpful. We hope to provide information and tools that bring knowledge, awareness, and a little humor to this life and death situation which might be different from other cancer awareness websites. While we are not a charity due to all of the restrictions that company structure would create, we also donate up to 50% of regular cancer shirt sale profits to charity - the more we sell the higher percentage we donate! Our goal is to raise $100,000 and it will certainly take a tremendous amount of work and your help to do so, we are committed.
As we developed ProjectBoobies.com, we wanted the logo to play a key role. The main part of our logo is the "hands" which are our nearly 14 year old daughter's hands to get across the point that it is never too early to begin paying attention to your body (she doesn't have cancer in case you wonder about that). Additionally, we think the logo will be provocative to "grab" attention on breast cancer shirts so that women are reminded that self breast exams are an important part of their lives.
