However, if the embassy is not located in your city you can submit your application to a South African consulate that is located in your country. If you are unable to personally present your application you can send your application by post. Your South Africa travelling visa application that you send by post must be accompanied by your passport for endorsement by relevant authorities. If there is no South African embassy, consulate or high commission in your country, you can send your application directly to South African Home Ministry.
You are required to apply for South Africa travelling visa at least four weeks before your date of departure. The embassy or the home ministry will require at least ten days for processing your application. You need to pay a non-refundable fee with your application towards application fee and processing of your application.

This consent certificate must be signed by your parents or your guardians in presence of a public notary.
People who are over the age of 60 must have an overseas medical insurance policy before they submit their visa application. The proof of the overseas medical insurance must be submitted with your visa application form. However, if you are under the age of 60 you are not required to take overseas medical insurance policy.
