, whether you are young or old, female or male, in a new car or old car, through a great neighborhood or not-so-great, do YOU have any type of self defense items at your side? If you are carrying something with which to protect yourself, good for you, that is a wise and intelligent decision and also good preparation for the unexpected. For those who have answered "no" the only logical questions seems to be, "Why the hell not?"
This is a time when the world has lots of crazy things happening; there is more crime each day, and wherever you go, there's a chance at getting robbed, mugged, or worse. So it seems that the best thing to do is to prepare yourself, in advance, by having some sort of protection. Even if you never have to use it, which would actually be a relief and a reason to thank God, at least you would have something, such as a pepper spray, just in case of an unforeseen circumstance!
Many people do not realize that pepper sprays are completely legal, they do not cause any long term harm or damage, and they can be purchased in a size as small as a key chain. The spray will usually shoot about 6 feet, and will stop anyone in their tracks! The solution will make the person's eyes burn, and they will have trouble opening them or seeing for a half hour. The person will also cough and choke, and even have difficulty breathing for a while. They certainly won't be able to proceed with hurting or robbing you, so you can escape to safety. The spray solution also has a vegetable marking dye that will stain the face, temporarily, of the person so that law enforcement can pick him out later on.
There is nothing wrong with a man or a woman carrying a great little piece of self defense in their pocket, purse, or briefcase, and if you don't own one already, you really should order one.
