Playing with bubbles is also fun for babies. You can blow bubbles to allow movement for the baby's arms and demonstrating to them on how he/she can swat them.
Another way to enjoy your moments with your baby is to place him on your lap and support him from behind, much like a chair. This is a good position to do some gestures of love and care, either by whispering on your baby's ear, or by planting a kiss on his cheeks. Also, you can help your baby stand up from his sitting position. This would give your kid more strength and balance in his legs. Another enjoyable activity for both you and your baby is bouncing. Do this by holding his hands, letting him stand on top of your lap, sofa, or the floor. Help him do some bouncing motion and enjoy the smiles and giggles that you will see from your baby.
At this certain age, your baby is prone to certain germs and bacteria. So before you hand him any item, ensure that it is clean. Also, try to avoid giving them small objects as these can be swallowed by your baby. It is also recommended that you breastfeed your baby. It not only decreases your demand for expensive formula milks, but it would surely increase your baby's antibodies, which protect him from common colds and coughs.
Also, at this particular age, you should take your baby for checkups regularly. Since pediatricians would know better regarding your child's progress, you should never be shy to ask a lot of questions regarding your kid's growth. Your kids sleeping habits, and diets should be one of your priorities.
Your kid, at this point in time, would have sleeping patterns that are unpredictable. Most of the time, they get a maximum of 16 hours of sleep a day. But be sure that the majority of that uninterrupted 16 hours are done during night time.
