Daily Stock Report for Wednesday Morning, March 3
, 2010 pt1US stocks pulled back in the last two hours to finish up 0.2 to 0.3% on the indices. The market spent most of the day with positive sentiment in positive territory.
The Dow30 did touch a higher high than the February 19th high today and the other two indices, the Nasdaq Composite and S&P 500 has made higher highs yesterday (Tuesday).
The Greece situation regarding some sort of bailout is in the works as Europeans are working with Greece now. More confirmation of that today helped support the market.
We are currently in a mildly positive environment and sideways action is likely the direction of the market the next week or so, unless there is some negative news that surfaces.
The fertilizer and agricultural chemical stocks moved up today, MON, MOS, POT, IPI, AGU, TRA and even CF climbed back higher after making a higher offer for TRA on a buyout.
We are should start seeing more mergers and buy-outs this year after one of the lowest merger and acquisition years in 2009 than in the previous 8.
Important data this week is Fridays Unemployment rate which is expected at 9.8%. It is possible that number could be released as early as Thursday.
