Fatehpur Sikri
A majestic town entirely conserved, Fatehpur Sikri presents a wonderful and a spectacular escape into the history. Akbar decided on the building of a fresh capital here when a prediction of the birth of a male royal successor, by the Sufi Saint Salim Chisti of Sikri, became correct.
Impressive gateways and beautiful palaces were constructed in red sandstone inside this fortified city only to be neglected and deserted a few years later.

Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary
Nearly 176 km. from Delhi it is a incredibly extraordinary wilderness - the Keoladeo Ghana National Park, one of the supreme water-bird sanctuaries in the entire world. The big lake and marshland was unnaturally shaped by the Maharaja of Bharatpur in the middle of approximately 19th century.
