Cheap airplane tickets, as well as cheap vacation packages

, are now more available as a result of an American Airlines ticket sale. Travelers are being encouraged to purchase tickets as soon as possible to take advantage of the sale prices being offered.

The following are some of the particulars of this sale:

- Travel must be completed by November 17th.

- Round trip fares are priced as low as $88, not including taxes.

- Over 40 cities from coast to coast, including Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Dallas are included in this sale.

- Lowest prices are available for flights on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.

- 10 day advance purchase is required.

- Blackout dates apply: June 19, June 26, July 3, 6, 10, 17, 24, 31, and August 7.

- Stopovers (defined as when a passenger does not depart from a intermediate city within four hours for domestic flights and 24 hours for international flights) are not allowed.

- Saturday night stay over is required on select routes to secure the lowest fare.

Be aware that sale seats are limited and sale fares are not available on all flights. The more flexible your travel dates are the more likely you will be able to find the cheapest available fares. Many online travel sites give their customers the ability to search fares by indicating that their travel dates are flexible (usually +/- 3 days), helping them to find the cheap fares available.

American allows passengers to carry on one personal item (such as a computer) and one bag for free. It charges $25 to check one bag and $35 for the next.
