Rock stars are known for a lifestyle of anarchy, wildness and, well, rock and roll - which means that they've acquired a bit of a reputation for being destructive and disrespectful to the property of others, especially when it comes to hotels. From debauchery in the 70s right up to misbehaviour in the last few years, the celebrity culture of trashing pristine hotel rooms doesn't appear to be slowing down.
Take, for example, the esteemed singer Amy Winehouse. Known for her somewhat volatile behaviour, it's no surprise that Winehouse is on the list of celebs racking up a lot of damage in their hotels. If you think that's bad, The Who's Keith Moon is said to have clocked up $24,000 of damage during festivities for his 21st birthday. Speaking of Keiths, Rolling Stones star Keith Richards is credited with starting the fad that was throwing the hotel television out of the window, which is said to be why most hotel tellies are now bolted down!
