Today we will be looking at the subject of money, its place in our lives and how to be sure use it in the right way!

Money is a tool:

Just like a computer, a hammer, a sewing machine or a car, money is a tool that will help you do what you want to do in a better way and you can do more with it then without it. We need to learn to be the master of money, not its slave and this only happens when we learn not to love it.

Bob Proctor puts it very well when he says Dont love money and use people. Love people and use money.

The Bible says The love of money is the root of all evil.

You dont have lots of money to love it, you can be poor as anything and still love it, or rich as a king and not really care about it at all! If you love it then it can rule over your thinking, your time and your life. It can cause you to be pulled into all kinds of evil.

Everyone needs money:

Of course, everyone needs money to pay the bills and to put food on the table. It is very hard to live with out it, but we need to be careful to put money in its place in our lives, to use it as a tool to help us fulfil our purpose, and not as master of our lives

Many people get confused and think that they must work and work to get money and that when they have lots of money they will be happy. Money doesnt have any power or ability to make you happy. It can only help a happy person to be more effective.

Very often when people are suddenly given tens of millions of pounds by winning the lottery they find that within a very short time they are very unhappy and often worse off than they were before they had all that money!

If you know a happy, generous, kind, rich person, you will probably find that they were a happy, generous, kind, poor person first. As they prospered little by little they could then use the extra money to love people even more!

So what kind of person are you right now?

If you are a miserable, selfish, poor person then it may be dangerous for you to become rich, as you will most probably be a miserable, selfish, rich person.

You need to start thinking about who you are now and start practicing to be the kind of person that you want to be when you are rich.

Start being generous, support charities close to your heart, act honestly in financial situations and as you give, in turn you will receive.

Not necessarily financially, but good character and a right attitude to money.

So how do you treat money?:

Are you 100% honest where money is concerned? What about if you get extra change from the shop? Do you rush back in to give it back as fast as you would if they had made a mistake by overcharging you? Or what about the parking pay and display ticket? Are you back on time? Do you take pens from the office or use their time for your e-mails or phone calls?

Take time to think about the kind of person you want to be when you are rich and start putting those things into practise today!
