Making the Most of Disneyland Paris Holidays

There is so much more than Disneyland in Paris. Yes, it is probably the best place to take your kids for a couple of days but why not try and incorporate an educational aspect to their holiday? By visiting various museums and exhibitions you children will learn a great deal more while on holiday. It's not difficult to make it both fun and educational, and you're kids will feel like they've done more with the weekend too. A break from Disneyland Paris also helps with the general format of the holiday, as it allows families to rejuvenate. A weeklong holiday at Disneyland Paris would probably drive you mad if you didn't leave the resort.

Kids love carousels, so you should take your kids on a relaxing carousel ride. This will make them feel like they're still in the theme park when they are actually in the real Paris. Parents often climb on board in order to get in on the action, as this can be a very nostalgic event. The carousels are quite beautiful, with old-style painted wooden horses and carriages, which are gorgeously decorated. Music is played on the carousels, which really entertains the kids. The best parks for carousels are the Jardin Des Tuileries, Parc du Champ de Mars and the Luxembourg Gardens.

Once you've left the park the first thing on your mind will probably be relaxation. The kids have been stressing you out and you want a little bit of peace and quiet. Why not head to the park? Parc de Belleville is a great place to have a summer afternoon picnic. Kids can get up to some exploring here too, and you may even find a spot for swimming along the river. It opened in 1988 and was a former village and 18th-century gypsum quarry. It was transformed into a beautiful garden and the Maison de l'Air located inside the park offers educational workshops for children. This is a great attraction for the kids as there are demonstrations on the theme of the air, the atmosphere, and pollution. Give the kids an environmental perspective that they can write up in their school project.

Jardin de Tuileries is a popular park amongst Parisians and had been around since the 17th century. There is a lot of entertainment for kids in this park, including carousel, playgrounds with trampolines, a puppet show, a ferris wheel and toy sailboats for sailing on the pond. It is also close to the Muse de l'Orangerie, which displays Claude Monet's water lily paintings. There are lots of markets nearby too, which are always fun to have a look at. So what are you waiting for? Cheap holiday deals won't be around forever, so take advantage of what's on offer.
