Making A Solid Foundation To Have A Marketable Business Website

Share: If you think your web site a money pit, you're not alone
. Quite a few business owners have told me they have web sites because "everyone has a website, but have not received any business from their website. Many of them have paid thousands of dollars for web designers to create websites for them, and then the websites just sit there, gathering proverbial dust Internet, and the huge traffic that consists of three to five unique visitors month.
First, it is necessary to establish the infrastructure for online business. Here are three patterns of your website must comply with before their initial debut:
- Your site must be easy to navigate, understand and use. When a surfer arrives at a website and does not understand what the web site within minutes, the surfer moves the following Web site (trust me, there are plenty of them out there. Approximately 2.7 billion at last count, plus or minus a few million dollars).
If the purpose and intent of your website is not very high, a surfer must go forward. If your site is difficult to navigate, a surfer continues. If your site is difficult to use (for example, is not obvious how to contact you or hire you) a surfer will.
- Your website should talk about what you do and how what you do will benefit their clients. Let's say Sue and Jane is both weight loss coaches. Website says Sue is for weight loss and Jane website says that Jane helps women look and feel better to lose 30 pounds in three months.
Which coach sounds better? The States not only acts, but also shows what's in it for the customer. The site should answer a fundamental question: Why should I hire you?
- Have a newsletter up box on your website. Most website visitors will not communicate with you about their services after visiting your site, but that will subscribe for a free newsletter. By subscribing, you are given permission to send the newsletter to carry; it will also serve as a reminder about your business.
Without a newsletter, many people visit your site once and promptly forget about it 10 minutes after leaving it. Having a newsletter, you are able to capture these visitors, and tell them about your business and again.
Take action today! Take a critical look at your website and ensure that it meets the above guidelines. A website that follows these forms a solid basis to have a commercial website for your business.
