Make It More Personal By Sending A Family Christmas Letter

Christmas is a happy time of the year for a variety of reasons most of which involve
opportunities to spend time with family and friends that you only get to see once a year. By taking basic holiday paper, and turning it into a full blown family Christmas letter, not only can you share your wishes for a great holiday season, but you can expand that by going over the highlights of the last year and your hopes and plans for the next. This gives you the chance to turn a traditional seasons greetings into an opportunity to highlight the family events and accomplishments for the year.
A Christmas card may fit the personality of some but for many it just isn't enough. While getting a Christmas card is fine, receiving a letter is a way to catch up with what's going on in the lives of others, reaching for a more personal and intimate view of what's going on. Emails and phone calls are good too, but all too often we don't have time for phone calls and emails are even more impersonal in a way than a simple card. Having a nice, lengthy Christmas letter to sit down and read over a cup of tea in the evening makes for a very nice occasion.
The good news is you're not restricted to sending only a Christmas letter and nothing else. Enclosing it in a nice greeting card serves both purposes quite well. Not only are you giving everyone a great overview of what's going on in your life but you're extending Christmas tidings with a great Christmas card as well. Another added benefit is the fact that you'll be sending both in one envelope thereby saving yourself postage as well.
One way to take writing a great family letter for Christmas over the top is to use Christmas themed return address labels and envelope seals. This can really spice up the outside of your envelope and encourage the recipient to open it. Adding touches like these really do dress up what would ordinarily be a rather plain envelope but it takes the Christmas spirit theme to a whole new level.
Christmas is the time of year for family and friends to be closer together than at almost any other time of year. Even if you can't visit and share the Christmas occasion directly, being able to "visit" with unforgettable family Christmas letters or holiday postcards is a very nice substitute.
