This is reached by taking a tour to El Calafate, and then a trip to the Parque Nacional LosGlaciares. The glacier is bright blue and you have a choice of two ways of seeing the glacier. You can catch one of the regular boat trips in Lake Ricothat take you to view the front of the glacier. However if you prefer to get up intimate and close, there are guided ice treks. These include the boat trip, as well as knowledgeable explanations of the area, and then a fairly tough trek over the ice in proper ice gear. If you are fit and adventurous enough, this will be a memorable experience.
Salta is set in beautiful scenery in the Northwest part of Argentina. Take a cable car to San Bernado Hill and look down at Salta. It is an unforgettable view.
