Looking For Baby Boy Clothes For A Wedding

There was a time when all babies were mostly dressed in a vest

, baby-grow and cardigan, and then wrapped in a blanket. This was pretty much the standard every day wear and the colours were pink for a girl and blue for a boy, with the occasional lemon, mint and white thrown in for good measure. These days it is a totally different story and for now we will concentrate on baby boy clothing and baby boy suits.

As far as baby clothes, boy or girl, are concerned, the main thing to remember is that they need to be comfortable and practical. I have seen baby boy clothesmade of the stiffest denim fabric and a baby boy suit with a starched collar and bow tie! While these may look cute in the pictures, the poor child will be so uncomfortable and upset that he will have no choice but to cry, at which everyone will tut and shake their heads and blame the harassed mother.

Since I have only daughters, I did not have much experience with buying baby boy clothes until my nephew came on the scene and I started to buy him clothes. This was I realised that there is no so much choice and variety that a new parent can get so easily confused. Apart from all the different fabrics and styles which are now available, there are also clothes for so many different occasions.

To start with you have the different styles of vests and baby grows, with all sorts of openings and fastenings. Then you have various types of pyjamas and night suits which I believe should be the most comfortable of all but once again I saw a designer night suit which had buttons at the back, which surely cannot be too comfortable for a baby to sleep in. After this, you have all the day wear options and the formal baby boy clothing.

There are jeans, t-shirts, shirts, romper suits, shorts, hoodies and jackets, as well as jumpers, hats and coats. These come in all styles and colours including bright red and black, something which you rarely saw on a baby before. The important thing these days is for the baby boy clothes to be funky, cool and fashionable. If the clothing is by a well know fashion designer, then so much the better, since you need to make sure that you keep up with the Jones, even if your child is still too young to appreciate it all.

We were recently looking for a baby boy suit for a wedding and wanted something simple but trendy. We found just what we wanted at an online store, which is where so many busy mums do their shopping. The colour we settled for was a navy two piece outfit in a sort natural fabric and with easy access to change the nappy, as well as being machine washable, for who wants to wash vomit laden clothes by hand, especially after a busy wedding?
