Liposuction For Jamie Lyn Spears During Pregnancy?
Young Jamie Lyn is famous not only for a pop-star older sister and hit pre-teen television shows
, but now she is also known for getting liposuction! As of December, 2008 rumors have spread about Spears and her supposed lipectomy while pregnant with her first child.
Jame Lyn Spears was already thrown into the rumor mill as a pregnant teen but now as reports trickle in about her supposed liposuction procedure while being pregnant, she's getting even more attention.
Rumor has it that before she was aware of her pregnancy, the young teenager underwent several lipoplasty injections after assuming her extra bulge came from an unexpected weight gain. According to sources, Spears' mother had to cut through plenty of red tape for a hospital to administer the injections to an underage patient. A while after the procedure, news broke of the alleged pregnancy and so did the scandal surrounding these supposed injections.
According to various physicians and common sense, it is not wise to undergo liposuction while pregnant. One source states, "Any form of liposuction is dangerous and should not be performed on a pregnant woman". It is dangerous for both the baby and the mother to undergo any sort of lipoplastic procedure. Basically, with all the risks involved in the healing process and surgical process alone, expecting a baby simply increases those risks by an incredibly large amount.
One unique aspect of the argument against these types of surgery during pregnancy is the fact that it is not just one factor that makes this procedure dangerous for both mother and fetus. The surgical process disrupts the development of the child and blood clotting risks make it possible for the mother to suffer a stroke, thus harming the baby.
In reference to the risk of using anesthesia while expecting, however, physicians have differing opinions. Some say it is too risky although others states, "Many risks to the fetus during surgery are unrelated to anesthetics, but rather due to the mother's reaction to the surgery". The use of some anesthetics can be considered safe to use, however, the healing process involved after such a hazardous lipectomy is not healthy for the infant. Any complication can be made so much worse in this sort of situation.
The Spears family has denied all claims of such precarious behavior. They maintain that all reports are false and that young Jamie Lynn would never endanger her child. These assertions don't necessarily stop the rumor mill from running the story, however.
Whether these rumors are true or false, the life lesson to take away from this story is to make entirely sure there is no possibility of being pregnant before undergoing any sort of cosmetic procedure. Always check with a healthcare professional before undergoing surgery. Never risk your baby's health. It's simply not worth it.
