Kids Should Learn To Carry The Handkerchief While Going To School

Always remember that cleanliness is the core of good health practice and we ought to sustain this not just on our body but on our surroundings as well. It is a good health practice to guard your family against germs. Children should be taught the habit of cleanliness at an early age.

The habit of cleanliness is essential for each individual and it very helpful for parents when children learn cleanliness during their formative years. This habit remains throughout the life time and it has a link with childs own health and hygiene. The spread of disease swine flu gave us indication how important is to keep ourselves clean particularly our hand. You should teach your children about personal hygiene and also train them to wash hands before meal, brush teeth regularly, have bath regularly and attire clean clothes. You should also ask them to keep henky and whenever they cough they should keep henky on their mouth so that the germs wont spread. Strep throat is very common in kids and teens and it also include swollen tonsils. When the child is suffered with this problem they should be provided with proper medical care, plenty of rest and send back to school.

Anybody can have the problem of strep throat and its generally happen with the school going kids. During the school times when the big group of the kids is close then this infection occur. For this the kids should always carry a handkerchief just to prevent the germs from spreading. The bacteria that cause strep throat tend to hang out in the nose and throat, so normal activities like sneezing, coughing, or shaking hands can easily spread infection from one person to another. Therefore it is very essential to educate the child about the importance of hand washing, keeping a clean handkerchief with them. Safety measures which are mentioned above can be helpful in diminishing the chances of getting contagious diseases like strep throat.

There are some rules which should be followed while using handkerchief like one should not use the same handkerchief more than one day. Dont blow the nose at the table in fact one should cover the nose with the hankie. When someone is feeling like sneezing, they should cover the nose with the handkerchief and turn the nose away from others. One more important thing dont lend your hanky to others; keep it in your pocket. Also make sure that the hanky is clean and ironed. As sneeizing and coughing appear suddenly so its important to keep the hanky close. Once you've used the hankie, it's perfectly fine to shove it, unfolded, back in a pocket. Using a handkerchief is good for the environment and leaves you feeling a little more refined than a paper tissue.
