How many visitors have been to your website today
, what about during this hour, was it a higher figure than the last hour, what about compared with yesterday, and your adsense income, is it higher or lower than yesterday, what about compared to last week. For goodness sake, stop it and stop it now. Weve all been there at one time or another but you can really spend so much time looking at the stats for your business that that you just dont have the time to do anything else. It is quite easy to tell yourself that you will quickly check out this or that but before you know it you will have wasted a good 30 minutes and that is time you most definitely wont see again. You can fool yourself that by checking your stats every five minutes you are actually doing some work but you and I both know that this is not the case and you are just wasting your time. Put aside 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes in the evening to check whatever stats you really do need to check but for the rest of the day leave them well alone. If you still cant kick your stat checking addiction try this exercise and I will guarantee it will shock you to the core. Simply write down on a plain piece of paper every time you check your stats, i.e. the time you start looking and the time you stop. At the end of the day add up all of the times and then multiply that figure by how many days you work per week and then per year. When you have got over the shock, get back to work, and stop checking those stats!
