The short answer to this question is yes, it is very possible to make money online
. And not just SOME money... it truly is possible to make a six figure a month income online. If you're looking to get into online business you're probably wondering where to start. Is MLM the place to be? Internet marketing? Affiliate marketing? Not only is it difficult to decide where to begin, but wherever you look you're going to get garbage programs thrown in your face.Even though it is possible to replace a full-time income online, that's not going to happen with just any opportunity you join. Beware of any program that promises you big money fast with little or no effort. There is no one program out there that holds the secret to making money online with little or no effort. Simply ignore any "get rich quick" opportunities you may come across.

Most MLM newcomers quit whichever company they've joined within their first 90 days in the business. When you're dependent on your recruits to generate income for you, it's not easy to generate a full-time salary with most of your partners quitting on you within 90 days. Moreover, in MLM you're left to do a lot of "warm marketing"... that is to say face-to-face marketing... generally relying on people you know to join you to generate income. Selling people, especially people you know, is not something most enjoy doing.
Affiliate marketing can be a very lucrative online venture, however you're generally left without help or support to keep you on the path to success, i.e. there won't be anyone to call for personal help when you find yourself with unanswered questions. Moreover, if you're looking for a genuine "business", affiliate marketing likely isn't the way to go. You'll likely simply be placing ads on Google (or other search engines) for products you don't necessarily know anything about, or care about. The final kicker with affiliate marketing is that the majority (or all) of your advertising will be paid for on search engines. This is a great way to lose a lot of money fast if you don't know what you're doing.
As a final note on affiliate marketing, if you've read about Google Cash and are thinking of buying it, I would recommend against that. Google Cash is more of a starters guide to affiliate marketing... you'll be left with way too many questions to make any serious money.
If you're really looking to replace your full-time income and make serious money online, I would recommend joining at top-tier internet marketing company (this is what I do). A top-tier internet marketing program will generally sell products which generate $1000 in commission or more per sale. Your job will not be to do any actual selling, but simply to market your business to as many prospects as possible (there are many free methods which you can use to do this). There is some investment required, but remember, you're starting a business... just because it's online doesn't mean it should be free.
There's a huge market out there currently for this kind of stuff. Just make sure you don't get caught in any "get rich quick" scams. Do your research and join a reputable program. Also... once you start DON'T GIVE UP. That's the number one reason people in the home-based business industry fail... they give up too quickly before they see any results. If you're with a reputable company that will provide you with the proper training, stick with it and you'll be making great money online.
