International Business Destinations Consider Video Conferencing

Dubai is one of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates

. It was ranked the number one financial centre in the Middle East by the MasterCard Worldwide Centres of Commerce index, and has built its economy on the back of the oil industry.

It's considered a global city and business hub, with its main sources of revenue coming from tourism, property and financial services and has been an important port since the beginning of the 20th century.

Dubai's top exporting destinations include India, Switzerland and Saudi Arabia. Its top re-exporting destinations include India, Iran and Iraq. Dubai's top import sources are India, China and America. Dubai is clearly an international business destination, and with this often comes lengthy business trips to meet with suppliers and clients. Meetings will always be an essential part of business, but thanks to modern technology, business travel can be seriously reduced.

Although Dubai and India are over 1,500 miles apart, with the right facilities a meeting could be held between businesses in both countries without anyone leaving the office, thanks to video conferencing in Dubai and India, this would save employees a lot of time by eliminating travel. That's just one example - video conferencing centres are used daily across the globe, saving businesses vast sums in travel costs.

It also boosts a company's green credentials because they aren't polluting the planet with unnecessary travel, which is always good PR for a business. Most importantly, it boosts productivity because employees don't have to leave the office to go to meetings - the distraction of travel is removed, and staff can return to the task in hand immediately after the meeting.

Video conferencing is preferred to conference calls because you can see visual clues such as body language that you can't with a telephone call.

Once the video conferencing technology is installed, it's a quick and easy way to interact globally.
