Infiniti of Washington Recommends an Emergency Preparedness Kit For Your Car
Every time you take your Infiniti out for a drive
, whether it's around the block or around the country, Infiniti of Washington recommends you keep an emergency preparedness kit in your car. Here is what you should include in your car's emergency kit:Your new or pre-owned Infiniti has more than enough trunk space to store a full-sized emergency kit to prepare you for whatever challenge you might face on the road. An adequate emergency kit should include:
Jumper cables
Flashlight and extra batteries (remember to replace batteries every few months to ensure they always have enough power to run the flashlight when you need it)
A variety of fuses which wok with your Infiniti make and model if your tail lights or headlights go out, or the lights in your dashboard, often replacing the fuse will get them working again
Travel-sized tool kit, with Phillips and flat head screwdrivers, adjustable wrench, pliers, scissors, knife
Road flares
Small bag of kitty litter if traveling in winter (it can be used to gain traction on ice or snow)
Collapsible snow shovel if traveling in snow or ice
Emergency sign
Car fluids for windshield, oil, transmission, antifreeze, water, and brake fluids
Basic first aid kit (bandages, ointments, instant ice packs, etc)
If you're taking your pre-owned or new Infiniti on a lengthy road trip, you could extend your preparedness kit to include the following extra items:
Non-perishable foods and a can opener
Blanket
Toilet paper
Change of clothes, including extra socks to keep feet warm in the event of winter weather
