ISKCON Kanpur Sri Sri Jagannata Ratha Yatra was celebrated in a very gorgeous way
Rath was very nicely decorated in Phulbagh Chauraha. Before the beginning of the pared H. H. Bhakti Purushottam Maharaj explained the significance of Ratha Yatra and also quoting from ancient Vedic literature told that how Ratha Yatra is the oldest festival celebrated on the earth. Approximately 3.5 crore years ago first Ratha Yatra procession took place. Other speaker's life HG Vasughosh Prabhu and HG Deenbandhu Prabhu also spoke the other details of the festival importance to maintain spiritual culture of the nation and bring all people closer to God and experience a life of inner fulfillment. Consequently the city commissioner Mr. Amit Kumar Ghosh gave the inaugurals speech.
H. H. Subhag Swami Maharaj performed the Aratik of Their Lordship Sri Sri Jagannath, Baladev and Subhadra.

HG Nityanand prabhu, HG Janardan prabhu, H. H. Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaja, HG Devakinandan Prabhu, HG Deena Bandhu Prabhu, H. H. Prabhodananda Saraswati Maharaj and others led very melodious and enthusiastic kirtans drowned all the participants in the ocean of transcendental bliss. While the procession was marching ahead on the way the local people, businessmen, shop owners and respected people of the city came forward to worship Sri Jagannath, Baladeva and Subhadra by offering a lamp, garlands, fruits and other bhoga items. More than 100 respected people came forward to worship Sri Sri Jagannath. Other well-wishers offered fruits, juice, water bottles, scented milk and other eatables to all those who were participating in the kirtans in front of the cart. After taking the route Phoolbagh, passing through Maal Road, Express Road, Ghantaghar Chaurhaya, Nayaganj and Birhana Rd and Ratha again returned to Phulbagh.

The next day the foundation stone laying ceremony and the function for marking the beginning of construction of gorgeous temple of sixty crore for Sri Sri Radha Madhav, Sri Sri Gour Nitai and Sri Sri Sita, Ram, Laxman and Hanuman was held.
The event began with the abhishek of Their Lordship Sri Sri Radha Madhav at 10:00AM. HH Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaj, HH Radhanath Swami Maharaj, HH Subhag Swami Maharaj, HH Prabhodanand Swami Maharaj, HH Bhakit Purushottam Swami Mahraj, HG Vasughosh prabhu, HG Deena Bandhu pr, HG Mahabahu Prabhu, HG Brajbihari prabhu, HG Kapil pr, HG Vaishnava Prabhu, HG Janardana Prabu, HG Srijiva Prabhu, HG Advaita Acarya Prabhu, HG Radheshyam prabhu and other leaders and senior devotees performed the Abhishek.
In order to invoke the auspicious atmosphere and blessing of the Supreme Lord Krishna a yajna with 11 havan kudas was performed under the guidenance of HG Sitalanga and Sevatulya prabhus. Various donors participated in this yajna and Anant shesh was installed in a place where Their Lordship Sri Sri Radha Madhav will be worshiped in Their new place of worship. After the puja of Anant Shesh the deity of Anant Shesh is kept in the present altar where worship of Sri Sri RadhaMadhav is going on. Before the inauguration of the gorgeous temple, Ananth Shesh will be put below Sri Sri Radha Madhav.
More than 1000 devotees, well wishers attended this event; all the senior devotees gave speeches to inspire citizens of Kanpur to help in building temple for Sri Sri Radha Madhav. All the Advisory board members participated in two day festival in a very enthusiastic way, Mr. Jalanji submitted a cheque of Rs. 25 lac as a donation for Sri Sri RadhaMadhav temple construction other 2 member submitted one lack each.

In the evening 5:00 PM cultural programs took place in a very attractive stage and pandal. Bharat Natyam dance by Kalanidhi Academy Kanpur, run by Dr, Sucharita Khanna and Manipur dance by Sanjay Bhattacharya (recipient of president award) astound eyes and deeply touch the heart of audience by devotional performances.
Students from ISKCON Vrindavan Gurukul sang Vaishnav songs in a melodious way and increased the beauty of the program. HH Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaj gave a discourse on Bhagavad Gita and explained importance of daily studying Bhagavad Gita.
