How to Improve Your Chances of Getting a Job

After an unsuccessful interview, many people start to question why they did not get the job and get bogged down in self criticism. This leads to a negative iutlook and can come across when being interviewed. You should never ask yourself why people are not hiring me, or why am I not getting a good job?

These "why" questions don't provide you with an answer, they just give you an excuse, i.e. you don't have enough experience or you are too young or old, etc. You can't do anything about being young or without experience and it will just increase your negativity.

Instead of "Why" You should ask "How", i.e. How I can get this job? How I can be better than others in an interview? These "How" questions will give you a better idea as to how to crack the interview process and develop confidence.

Analyze certain points

* Where is your job search leading each day?

* Always attach a cover letter to your resume.

* Increase your network. Try to add professional people to your network.

* Try to improve your interview skills. Make sure that you practice by standing in front of a mirror or let your friends judge you. It can also help to increase confidence.

A 10% increase in these areas will gain an overall 40% increase in the success of your job search. This will definitely increase your selection chances.

One more question which irritates job seekers is why employers are not calling them?

You should ask yourself how you can make yourself an attractive potential employee to a good company. Answering this will promote you to take optimistic steps.

* Prepare a list of companies where you would like to work. Research these companies and check their market status. Try to make contact with the people working there already.

* Discuss with 5 people who are well settled in their job. How did they start and also progress their career.

* Search various recruitment agencies as they have a strong database of jobs and they can guide you properly Now go out, give it your best shot and make your own luck!.
