We all know about reading people's reviews of different TVs, books or toasters; but why not read through what other people have to say about your intended holiday cottages? There are several important questions to find answers for
What is the choice of accommodation like in the area?
Are there plenty of things to see and do?
Is there a shop within walking distance of where you are planning to stay?
And how do the local pubs and restaurants fare?
It's also worth looking for some general info on sites such as Wiki. Having a little knowledge about the area you are staying in can often be very useful indeed!
