How To Travel From Mantralayam To Bangalore
Mantralayam is a small town located in Kurnool district in the south Indian state of Andhra Pradesh
. It is located along the banks of the River Tungabhadra on the states border with neighbouring state of Karnataka. Also called as Manchale Mantralayam is famous for the holy presence of the Vrindavana of Guru Raghavendra Swami a prominent Madhwa saint and follower of Sri Madhwacharya. It is believed that Guru Raghavendra Swami has been present in the Vrindavana from the past 339 years. It is also widely believed that he will continue to be in the Vrindavana for another 361 years. While entering the Vrindavana Guru Raghavendra Swami stated that he would be there (in the Vrindavana) for 700 years in all.Bangalore (Bengaluru) which is also known as the Silicon Valley of India is the capital city of the South Indian state of Karnataka. Located on the Deccan Plateau Bangalore is Indias third most populous city and the hub of Indias Information Technology industry. Bangalore the Garden City of India is wellconnected to all parts of India by road rail and air and hence reaching Bangalore from any part of the country is fairly easy.
However it is not possible to fly from Mantralayam to Bangalore as there is no airport in Mantralayam. But both the cities are well connected by a good network of railways and roadways. The distance from Mantralayam (in Andhra Pradesh) to Bangalore (in Karnataka) is around 388 km by road. It takes approximately 7 hrs and 10 min to cover this distance. There are numerous APSRTC buses available from Mantralayam to Bangalore. The ticket charge varies according to the type of bus preferred. Travelling by bus is recommended to youngsters and backpackers as it is not suitable for senior citizens and small children.
Apart from this there are many express trains that ply regularly from Mantralayam to Bangalore on all days taking around 9 hours to cover the journey. It is to be noted that the trains from Mantralayam arrive in Bangalore at 2 stations Bangalore Cy Jn (SBC) and Krishnarajapurm (KJM). Some of the popular trains that run along the route are Nagarcoil Exp (16339) Karnataka Exp (12628) Vivek Express (19568) Coimbatore Exp (11013) and Ned Sbc Exp (16593) among others. Online ticket reservation is also possible through the website of Indian Railways. It is the best mode of travel for those travelling with family consisting of small children and senior citizens.
Another feasible travel option is to hire a taxi from Mantralayam and it will cost to the upwards of INR 8000 for a round trip. This is a comfortable and easy mode of travel if journeying with family and friends.
