4. Promotion. Initially when we were building our article writing company I did a lot of forum marketing.
Today you can drive traffic and build backlinks in other ways such as article marketing, social media, and press releases. You might also do paid advertising such as ppc advertising or ezine advertising.
5. Build a list. This is been a great source of customers for our writing business in the past.
Build a list that you can contact whenever you need to generate more work. It's great to be able to send out a special offer to a list of subscribers and generate hundreds or thousands of dollars in one day.
6. Word of mouth. Setup a testimonial page and ask your customers to write a short testimonial. This page will sell a lot of new work for you.
Also don't be afraid to ask your happy customers to tell all their friends. You don't need near as much website traffic when your potential customers are already pre-sold from your existing customers.
