No doubt the first thing running through your mind is that there are plenty of after school care facilities out there.Especially who are looking after kids and there really isn't a demand for a more personalised service. There are many children who really don't require the services of a babysitter and yet the parents are becoming quite concerned as to what's happening after school.
Quite often there is at least three hours before the parents arrive home and most often these children are spending their time in front of the television watching movies or playing video games.
This is a golden opportunity for you if you want to take the time to put together a program that perhaps you could run a couple of nights a week for a few hours. Ideally what you want to do is arrange an after school club that is going to get the children their exercise.
It's true that there are sports clubs around that the children can join but if the parents are not able to participate most often the children don't seem to stick with it. They do their school sport at school but once that's finished they still have a lot of free time on their hands.
You can set some sort of monthly plan that a parent would pay for their children to come to your home one night a week or how often they want to pay for your services.
It would be your responsibility to put together an innovative plan for the children because not only do you have to please the parents but you have to get the children interested enough that they want to come into your program.
There are a lot of innovative things that you can do with the kids in an after school club. If you are child orientated chances are you have many ideas in your mind already. Another thing you can do is you can search the Internet and find a variety of activities to run for children.
One thing you're going to find is that you will have a variety of ages so you might want to plan a specific night for each age group. That way you are going to broaden your market somewhat and be able to take in a variety of children that are all within the same age group and are compatible to whatever activities you are planning.
