Your Sites Traffic' then you now want to start to monetise your site. This has never been easier to do than it is now. In fact every day it becomes easier.As mentioned before your must have this item on your blog; Google Adsense. You are then paid by Google anytime you manage to send a visitor through their adverts. For example let's say an advertiser on Google is paying 0.40 price per click (PPC) then Google will pay you part of this money. Usually it is around twenty percent.
If we continue using the Website name that we came up with earlier 'West Ham Fans' then you use Google's Keyword tool again to see what the advertisers are paying, and in this case it is currently around 0.34 per click. However, do not fully trust these figures as they are just a rough guide. Go and open a fresh search page in Google and then search on your term and you will notice that there are currently no advertisers. This means there is no competition which is not a good thing as there is very little money to be made from Adsense income when there is no competition.
You'll need a healthy amount of competition to be sure to make money from Adsense. However, let's say that you have plenty of traffic and now you would like to monetise it. Then you need an affiliate marketing company like Clickbank. If you visit Clickbank's website and click on the 'Marketplace' tab. Then you enter your chosen keyword/phrase which for the site 'West Ham Fans' will probably be 'Football'. Then you will see hundreds of digital download products come up. All of which will pay you a commission which ranges all the way up to 75% if just one of your visitors buys their product.
When you go there you'll also see that you can sort the results (products) and for an example I sorted these results by payout size. The largest payout at the time of writing was a Sports Betting site which pays you over $100 for a sale (67% commission).
So now what need to do is sort through until you find one your customers will like. Then you become an affiliate of Clickbank and promote your chosen product. To do this you write a blog post which says something like (depending on your comfort level), 'Hey if you are like me and are interested in strategic betting on West Ham as well as other Football games then I highly recommend you check this site out (then put your affiliate link here)'. These affiliate links can be very long at times so go to the site tinyurl.com where it will shorten your link for you and you can put it in your blog post.
Your link is unique and is recognised by the seller's website so that when your visitor clicks through to their site you are credited as the introducer automatically. If they then go on to purchase their product you will get paid a commission by Clickbank. These also often include recurring (continuity) income as well, so if a product is let's say a membership site or similar multi-month course then you can make money for several months or even longer periods, all from just from one sale.
There are literally hundreds of affiliate sites available online for you to go and find products to promote, such as Clickbank and Commission Junction. These are probably the very easiest out there to join.
