We all want to know how to learn French fast - I can't think of any reason why
someone is going to go looking for a way to learn french slowly! The internet also leads us to expect to be able to learn French free. It sounds like an ideal situation but is it reality or just so much online hype? Can you actually learn french fast and do it for free?The truth could be either yes and no, depending on your personal drives and circumstances. It depends if you just have a vague desire to learn French quickly - that it would be kind of nice - or whether you absolutely must learn french fast, no choices. If you're vacationing in France and you want to learn a few useful French phrases then there are lots of free online French lessons that will suit you fine. You might have to put up with a lot of adverts - which you will find frustrating at times - but that's the "price" you pay for free.
It's a bit different if you need to learn French fast for your job or because you're the kind of person who can't just half-do something. The free French lessons on the internet can only take you so far... or so fast. If you've got to learn to be a confident French speaker in as short a time as possible, you are going to have to invest a few dollars.

Joking aside, if you want to get to grips with the language to help you out a little on a short visit to France you can probably learn sufficient French from one of the few free sites that actually deliver useful content without buying you under an avalanche of advertising. If you really need to know how to learn French fast, if the pressure is on, then look to modern language lessons. With some of the better download packages you can even get some free lessons so you can try it out first. The other advantage of French downloads is the price.
