Even though there may not be any physical contact between the two people, the emotional bond is replacing YOUR emotional bond with your partner.
Even if your partner in turn claims it only to be innocent chatting, what happens within his or her heart is far from innocent, and you can trust me on that one. For the subconscious there is no difference between fiction and reality, and thus there is no difference deep down in your heart between a conversation in real life, and one online.
