How To Get Through Your Wedding Day In One Piece

You have thought of everything including wedding party favors for your wedding party and wedding guest favors for your attendees

. You make it to wedding date and everything is running smoothly. Now all you have to do is make it through the big day and it is all down hill from there. This is easier said than done as most wedding days are very long and you will be on your feet for most of it, probably in uncomfortable shoes. Here are a few tricks to surviving your wedding day and still having energy when it is over.

The most important thing you can do for yourself, especially during the last week is not miss any meals. Hopefully, you are not trying to lose wedding dress weight at this point because you will need all your strength for the big day. Make sure you eat breakfast on the day of as well. A piece of toast and a cup of coffee do not count. An egg white omelet with dry wheat toast is a good start. If you add a glass of orange juice and some fruit, you will find that you will have more energy when it counts, down that home stretch. Think protein and you cannot go wrong.

It is okay for the bride and groom to be thirty or so minutes late for the reception. Take this time to get those shoes off your feet and slip your feet into a nice hot soak. Taking a few minutes to relax and meditate will do wonders for your mind and body. Pamper yourself for half an hour and get a foot massage, even if you have to do it yourself. Whatever you do, turn off your cell phone for a bit and just try to relax and clear your mind. You will be surprise how much better you will feel if you relax and unwind, even for a few minutes. If you have the opportunity, play some soft music and pretend that there is nothing going on for a little while. It will really pay off before days end.

Avoid consuming alcohol or at least keep your consumption moderate. Avoid soda and other foods and drinks that contain sugar. Anything like this will give you a quick buzz but the crash will make you more tired than when you started out. For a quick burst of energy that will not leave you flat, eat a piece of fruit or suck on a piece of candy. If the candy is sugarless, that is even better. Better than both of these would be carbohydrates like the kind you would find in peanut butter and bread. This is not always an option but anything is better than nothing is if you have missed breakfast.

Finally, the best way to get through your day is if you are already rested. Do not make the mistake of planning too many things to do on the day before your wedding. Go to bed at a reasonable hour and try to get plenty of rest. You will be much better off on your big day if you have managed to sleep for eight full hours. If this means going to bed early, so be it. Try to take good care of yourself as you go through the weeks and months of wedding planning. Stress can take a lot out of your body. Always try to enjoy what you are doing and you will be a much happier bride or groom.
