How Teenagers Make Money

Most of the time, teenagers are looking for ways to make money

. With the high cost of designer clothing, NFL sports wear, music and movies, parents simply cannot afford everything that a teenager wants. Most teens know that the only way that they can get the things they want is to make cash. Unfortunately, many states have changed the driving laws to only allow drivers over the age of eighteen unlimited privileges. This is the reason why getting cash is not as easy for average teenagers. Here are some tips for teens to make cash even without that driving freedom.

The best way for teens without a car or license to make cash is through the people in their own neighborhood. These are the people that you grew up with. They trust you and you trust them. They know where you live, so you're obliged to do a good job. The first thing that you should do when you want to make cash is go door to door in your neighborhood and find out what services people need or want.

Dog walking, raking leaves and mowing lawns working for busy households are just some of the things teens can do to make cash. Washing cars, gardening, and window washing are other examples of how teens can make some cash. If there are a lot of families in the neighborhood, you can even try posting flyers offering cheap after school and weekend babysitting.

Through a paper route, teens can also make some money. Many large newspapers now require carriers to be eighteen or older. However, smaller community papers often still allow teens to run their paper routes. They can either ride their bike, skateboard, or deliver the papers on foot. Distributing flyers throughout the neighborhood is also a way teens can make cash, and locally run small business would tell them to do this.

Teens can choose to go around to local businesses within walking distance if all else fails. Most convenience stores require workers to be over eighteen or twenty one. But teens can still work in grocery stores as stockers and as cooks in fast food joints. You can also check out local small movie theaters for cleaning or ushering jobs. Because of these types of jobs, teens will be given the ability to make a lot of money. However, in some areas these types of jobs are few and far between.
