We've talked a lot about standing out from the crowd and doing something different. This is all very important; however, this doesn't mean you have to go crazy doing so. Most celebrities who stay in the public eye aren't radically changing their image on a regular basis. In fact, usually when a celebrity changes something little everyone notices. Although it may seem outrageous at the time it's really not a big difference from what they were doing before. This could be a hairstyle, a style of dress, a public service statement, etc. At the end of the day, the image of a celebrity is relatively consistent.
You should try to emulate the celebrity image in your personal marketing. Find something that works for you, your company or your product and stick with it. Change is inevitable but you should stay as consistent as possible. Make sure you are staying current on industry news and standards especially if your clients rely on you for news on the next big thing. If you have carried certain product lines or services make sure that you are supporting the customers who purchase those by continuing to supply them. If you make additions to your inventory or service list make sure you keep the old as long as it isfeasible.
