Hotel break or cottage holiday?

Hotel break or cottage holiday?

Hotel break or cottage holiday?

Now is the time when people start to think about summer holidays, last minute breaks and anything to find a bit of reliable weather but should you go for a hotel break or a cottage holiday? Both can be luxurious, relaxing, exciting and as cheap or expensive as the budget calls for so what are the pros and cons of each?
Hotel break or cottage holiday?

Cottage holiday you're probably imagining these to be rural, chocolate box cottages in the middle of nowhere, suitable for romantic breaks, breaks for the older couple or for those who just can't get enough of the great outdoors. All of these assumptions are true but they're not the only types of cottage holidays by any means. Cottage holidays can be a great way to stay on the outskirts of a big city and enjoy both the city itself and the surrounding areas, perfect for those who like to discover new things such as nature reserves and National Trust properties but still want the urban buzz. If there are a group of you then renting a cottage can be a cheap option either for a long weekend or a whole week and as long as you remember that nothing's provided on this sort of holiday you'll have a great time. This is the downside of course, that there's no onsite restaurant or reception service, you're left to fend for yourself so don't forget your towel and your hamper full of food!

Hotel break - the choices are almost endless when you opt for a hotel break, you can choose from UK city breaks, country breaks, breaks abroad, luxury, budget, all inclusive, bed and breakfast only, dinner included, double, single, twin, facilities, no facilities and so on, it's a big world out there. There are advantages and disadvantages to this, the major disadvantage being that trawling through the endless options could potentially ruin the excitement of booking your holiday because it can really drag if you don't narrow it down quickly. On the other hand, the advantage is massive, literally whatever you want, whatever you like and whatever you're into, is available, want something? There'll be a hotel for that. Hotels are everywhere and they're all manned for 24 hours a day which means if you get peckish at three o'clock in the morning, you can order a cheese sandwich or if you've forgotten to iron your shirt then you can borrow an ironing board and an iron.

Whatever you want, from luxurious hotels to UK cottage holidays, do your research and you really could be enjoying either, no matter what sort of person you are. When looking for somewhere different to stay at there are boutique hotel Leeds and Boutique Hotel London options available for a truly unique experience.
