Aylesburys population has doubled since the 1960s, and a number of new developments have been built in recent years, with more to follow though the conservation area around Queens Park and St Marys has been protected. Suburban Aylesbury now encroaches on several neighbouring towns and villages, including Stoke Mandeville, Hartwell, Stone, Broughton and Weston Turville.
