The Children's Foundation as a 501c3 non profit kids organization works to build
the bridges that facilitates the programs and administration to help change lives, foster educational opportunities, and develop hope for those without hope. With the crisis in today's world The Childrens Foundation strives to be part of the solution working together with projects such as Casa Hogar Los Angelitos, to build opportunity and a positive future for a better World. Children are the future, and they are the key to a positive future.The Children's Foundation is funded through individuals, organizations and corporate contributors. The Childrens Foundation provides financial support for Casa Hogar Los Angelitos, Ministerios de Amor and the FEED Scholarship. We are not funded by any government, religious or international agency.
The children who come into the Casa Hogar Los Angelitos family come as victims of abandonment, abuse or severe neglect and have suffered from extreme poverty. These children are fragile and without hope. Casa Hogar Los Angelitos accepts children that many times are rejected by other casa hogarsand because we care for children who come from special circumstances, who are not necessarily orphans, the casa hogar staff must have a special heart and understanding for this work and these children.
We believe that every child is worthy of love and acceptance. Children learn what they are taught, they follow what they see. In order to move away from the cycle of abuse and poverty we must work faithfully with these children to show them that there is another way
The Casa Hogar administration consists of a group of dedicated staff which includes a psychologist, social worker, accountant, Doctor and Administrator. The house staff consists of teachers, cooks, Chauffeur and house mothers.
Often the children have very little, if any, formal education prior to coming into the Casa Hogar. Our teachers tutor the children until they are able to enter public school and provide on-going support after they have entered public school. We believe that education is the key to change however, working with children who have not had adequate education, have learning differences and many times emotional problems requires a special dedication, patience and determination. Our teachers are essential to the educational development of our children.
Our house parents have a special role.
The children of the Casa Hogar are part of a larger family, a family that provides support for each individual child. Many of our children enter the Casa Hogar with low self esteem, abandonment issues and other severe emotional problems. It is very important that the houseparent and others who work with the children on a daily basis provide an atmosphere of security, love and acceptance. The mission is to instill a sense of pride and self esteem, to give our children hope for the future along with the tools necessary to become successfulthis work requires dedication, patience and consistency.
The casa hogar is a non profit organization mexico & Orphanage in Mexico. We must adhere to the rules of the Mexican Government. This involves very specific detailed accounting including an annual audit. Our accountant is part of the Casa Hogar Staff and works to continually insure we meet requirements set for all tax and government authorities.
We have our own licensed and dedicated Social Worker. Our Social Worker handles investigations for families and children in crisis outside the casa hogar. She also coordinates the work with children inside the Casa Hogar. Our social worker goes to great efforts to investigate on behalf of children when we receive reports of abuse, extreme neglect and desperation.
It is through her efforts and dedication to children that we receive many of our children.
Our Director must coordinate many things as well as keep the vision always at the center of decisions and planning. Every day presents new and difficult challenges and situations that need direct and immediate attention with compassion and integrity.
Many of our board members in Mexico have been part of the development of the casa hogar program since its beginning they are dedicated and loyal to the vision and the mission.
The administration and staff of both organizations, The Childrens Foundation in the US and Casa Hogar Los Angelitos in Mexico work long hours and always give above and beyond. Our people are special and they strive to make a difference in the world of children serving with compassion, dedication and integrity.
Your contribution provides the opportunity for these children, in spite of previous conditions, to be able to live life in a new way, children whose lives are changed and who have hope for the future.
