Domestic tourists to Ha Giang this year reached 253,304 arrivals, increasing 26.4% compared to 2009. Currently the province has two business units of international travel and domestic joint-stock Tourism Company in Ha Giang including Ha Giang commercial - travel - petrol - petroleum Joint Stock Company. Business activities of tour operators are gradually promoting effectively to promote the image of the Company and the exploitation of tourists at home and abroad, attract visitors travel to Vietnam and Ha Giang in particular.
In order to attract more and more tourists to Ha Giang, in recent years the province has also constructed many tourist attractions for tourists to visit and sightseeing. Beside, many national festival were held by people also attract the attention of domestic tourists as well as international visitors such as Long Tong festival of the Tay Quang Binh , Gau Tao Festival of Mong; Buffalo Fighting Festival oF Trung Thanh commune(Vi Xuyen). Along with tourism points, the accommodation and services for tourists are more and more developing to meet the daily needs and entertainment for tourists. Currently the province has 100 accommodation establishments with a total of 1340 rooms, including 2 two-star standard hotels, 9 one- star hotels, the rest are guesthouses, 29 cultural tourism village meet community needs accommodation for visitors, the use of rooms to 65 - 70%, the number of employees in the service of accommodation establishments was 357, of which the number of trained employees was 167 people, untrained was 190 people. Overall the accommodation establishments in the province strictly observe the regulations of the state of business in tourist accommodation, to ensure security, fire prevention, sanitation, service behavior and processes. Especially, focus on ensuring the criteria for equipment in the facility and promptly replace or repair when there is deterioration or damage in order to meet the needs. Some establishments in Ha Giang promote tourism through the display of brochures, maps, brochures, newsletters, travel news. Besides the quality of food services in restaurants has been focused, in particular the establishment has committed to food safety, environmental commitment; the cost of catering services was guaranteed not to increase during the holidays. The whole province has 228 restaurants with the ability to serve 2089 tables; the number of employees at the restaurant is 626 people, including 144 trained employees, 482 untrained. The restaurants in the province are small and medium-scale, mainly for conventional foods, have no enough equipments and processing techniques to serve the high-level visitors coming from Europe, America. Skill levels of the service staff is still poor, intensive training, lack of food specialties to introduce to tourists...
To operate the province's tourism services growing up, meeting the current needs of society, in 2011 Ha Giang also has specific solutions for each stage from 2010 to 2020.
