. Recently the United States lifted the travel ban to Cuba for the first time in many years. Now Americans have the opportunity to visit Cuba on a small group Cuba holidays.

If you want to see the real Cuba, take a small group tour. Not only will you visit places as a group, but there will be free time to see and do things that you are interested in. The tour guide can arrange for you to participate in local activities at local prices.

The reason many people return from tours disillusioned is because they did not have an opportunity to interact with the local people. In this sense, small group Cuba tours is uniquely different. You will actually be staying in local homes with Cuban families as your host.

There is nothing luxurious about these tours, but everything is clean and comfortable. You will get to know each person in your tour group because the groups are small. The entire tour will be led by your local tour guide.

An example of a small group tour is the eight day Western Cuba Tour. The group size will be between two and twelve with the average size being seven. The arrival destination is the city of Havana. There are no activities planned for the first day so you can use the time to visit the city on your own.

Days two through six will be spent visiting two other special locations. During that time you can ride horseback, go snorkeling off of one of Cuba's white sand beaches, look for wildlife, explore caves, hike or go bicycling. These nights will be spent in the home of a Cuban family. Day eight is the same as Day one. There are no planned activities, and you may do whatever you want. You are free to leave at the time you choose.

These tours are a great way to relax and enjoy a visit to Cuba. Because the groups are small, you will make some lifelong friends as you travel together. Small group Cuba tours are an intriguing way to see Cuba as it is.
