Kids have this very powerful imagination. That is why most of the games that they usually play include make believe games wherein they get to portray a certain kind of character doing unbelievable stuffs. This kind of game has always been part of a childs experience in growing up. However, nowadays, this kind of playtime is slowly disappearing. Thanks to the proliferation of technologically advanced toys such as the computer and portable gadgets, more and more kids, at such a young age, would often prefer to just sit in one corner of their room and play with these stuffs all day. They get to miss out socializing with other kids and getting the kinds of workout they would get when they are out in the park running with kids their age. It has also robbed them of the chance of making their imaginations work as every bit of detail is already provided in the small screen that they see.
If you want to encourage your kid to become more active in playing outdoor games and being able to get some fresh air with kids his age, then give him his very own pedal planes. Any other pedal toys would do, but these toy planes would be too hard to resist for kids. Admit it, once a kid gets to see a real plane or gets to ride one for the first time, he would surely become enthralled with the idea of being able to fly one on his own. This kind of fascination is enough to make your kid stop toying around with his gadgets and start taking his pedal plane for a ride.
If riding is not enough for your kid, then get one of those toy planes that could be assembled on your own. This is a good way of making your kid extra curious with putting up parts with his own bare hands. Also, it could be a very interesting way of coming up with a bonding activity for you and your kid. You could study the pedal plane plans you are trying to build and help each other in putting up the planes.
This is indeed a very interesting way of making your kid become more interested in doing more outdoor activities. If he starts out young playing inside the house, alone with his computer, he would have a hard time breaking this habit when he becomes older. The tendency is that he would find it difficult to socialize as he does not have much opportunity to encounter social interactions. On the other hand, when he plays outdoors, he has more chances of socializing with kids his age. In this way, he has more reasons to go out and play.
