Many times military members are gone for months and are left with little to occupy themselves other than thinking about where they are. Such items as music players, puzzle books, books to read, magazines, and small hand held video games make great gifts that will give those fighting something to do when they have time off. A digital camera is also a great addition to a military gift basket if the individual on your list does not already possess one so that pictures can be sent home.
Finally, another common military gift basket item is snacks, especially during the holiday time. Not only will some special snacks delight the recipient but it will also give you the opportunity to add some festive treats to the basket as well. Holiday cookies and classic treats will be sure to brighten any soldier's day.
