The bond between a parent and a child is a precious and unbreakable one

Such images can be desensitizing, and alienate us from the struggles of the victims. And while few may feel pity for their plight, we also may feel helpless to do anything to alleviate that suffering.
Child sponsorship can renew that sense of hope within us as well as within those in need. We realize that we can make a difference, and very easily too. All it takes is a commitment to sponsor a child, and a link is forged in a way that can never be broken.

Having a sponsor can literally make a world of difference to children in poverty by providing them with an education they might not otherwise receive and a standard of living that benefits not just them but those around them. Remembering your sponsored child in your prayers transcends borders and reverberates around the world to bring him or her God's love and His message of peace. And that is probably one of the greatest bonds that anyone can have.
