Also known as St Georges Island, the island housed a monastic community in medieval days. The Atkins sisters bought the island and lived on it for 40 years from 1964, but it is now owned by the Cornwall Wildlife Trust who maintains it as a nature reserve.
3.The Old Guildhall and Goal: Located in East Looe, this is one of Looes oldest buildings, and dates back to the 16th century. The building has been well preserved, and is an excellent way to understand the towns diverse history.
4.Looe Golf Club: For those looking for a spot of golf on your holiday, Looe has a stunning course that comes with a fully licensed bar, dining room, professional shop and changing room facilities.
5.Eden Project: If you are willing to explore further, the Eden Project near St Austell is 35 minutes by car. This is the internationally acclaimed garden housed in tropical biomes.
